OUR STORY

ONE SPARK INTERNATIONAL was birthed on a trip to Pakistan many years ago while visiting an organization which rescued children from slavery (these children were forced to work in rug making factories to pay off their family’s debt).  This organization was not only rescuing the children, but training them up in the things of God.  They also had a vocational school for the young men, with a program that set them up to run their own business once they graduated.

It was devastating when we found out that they were in danger of closing their doors, simply because they they did not have the computer skills to create newsletters that would help them raise the funds needed to rescue these precious lives.

It was in that moment the vision for One Spark Int’l was born. The ladies in this organization were doing some of the most impactful work we had ever seen during our travels. They didn’t necessarily need someone to move to Pakistan, learn the language, or make a long-term commitment.

What they needed was someone to give a few hours of their time and professional skills to write and design a simple newsletter for their organization. The work could have been done from anywhere - remotely or in person - and it could have enabled this organization to continue transforming lives in Pakistan for many more years to come.

That experience helped us look at missions from a new perspective.
